THIS weekend Towersey Festival arrives with all its splendour, prestige and big names.
Headlining this year’s festival is none other than pop icon Billy Bragg.
Bragg is one of the best-known and best-loved artists of his generation. With a career spanning 20 years, his music is a fine blend of poetry and political comment, with a dash of romance.
Other stars in the line-up include Home Service, Cara Dillon, The Spooky Men’s Chorale, The Burns Unit, Spiers and Boden, Martin Carthy and Dave Swarbrick.
At the time of this paper going to press there were still tickets on sale. There is a whole range of ticket options on offer to cater for everyone.
A full ticket covers all Festival events (space permitting), from the Welcome Ceilidh on Thursday evening, including the Festival Dance House, to midnight on Monday.
The cost of camping is per person and must be booked at the same time as your ticket.
Alternatively you can go for a day ticket which covers all events on a specified day.
