Aylesbury Waterside Theatre will undergo building improvements at the end of the month.
Willmott Dixon Construction, which built the theatre, is paying for the remedial work to improve the timber cladding.
The process, which will take 12 weeks and not affect any performances or bookings, will involve stripping back the original timber before applying new coats of a decorative finish and wood protector.
Cabinet member for leisure David Thompson said: “The Waterside Theatre is one of the Vale’s key cultural assets. The council is committed to keeping the venue up to a high standard so we’re pleased this remedial work will be undertaken over the next few weeks and look forward to the results.”
The district council has apologised for any possible inconvenience caused during this time.
