Have your say

WOULD you believe it, the Waterside Theatre is nearly one year old!

The iconic, award-winning building already seems at home in Aylesbury – it’s difficult to imagine the town centre without it.

And to celebrate its first anniversary the Waterside will be holding several exciting events, the first of which involves you.

The venue is hosting a free family fun day on Saturday, September 3, from 10am, and theatre staff are looking for different-sized groups and individuals of all ages, and boasting all talents, to come on board and show the public what they’ve got in open auditions hosted by Richard Carr in association with Bucks TV.

So whether you’re a rock star in the making or an undiscovered singer, gymnast, comedian, dancer, musician or anything in between, this is your chance to showcase your talents and have the opportunity to perform live at the Waterside’s birthday bash featuring panto star Jonny Wilkes later in the year.

You will perform in front of a panel of the industry’s experts who are looking to find Aylesbury’s next big thing.

To take part it’s simple! Turn up on the day at 11am with any props or backing tracks you may need and you will be allocated a performance slot.

The acts are to be a maximum of five minutes long and auditions are completely free to enter – this could be your key to stardom!
