Thame Town Firsts won an entertaining friendly game against Tiddington Firsts at Church Meadow on Saturday.
Batting first, Thame scored 172 for 7 with youngster Dan Patey hitting 41, Sam Lachlan (pictured) 35 and Alister Thomas 24.
Robin Pykett took 4 for 56 for Tiddington.
Thame took early control when Tiddington batted, with seamers Sam Lachlan and Mangat Khan reducing Tiddington to 65 for 7.
Sam Hollingshead hit a powerful 64 to bring Tiddington close but they were eventually all out for 157.
Lachlan and Khan were Thame’s stand out performers as they took 4 for 26 and 3 for 28 respectively.
Elsewhere, an under-strength Thame Seconds struggled against Tiddington seconds who put on 260 for 8.
Thame only managed a measly 97 for 9.
Thame’s first league games on Saturday see the Firsts away at Horspath, with the Seconds home to Kimble.
