THAME beat local rivals Aylesbury 3-2 in their final warm-up game before the season thanks to goals from Mark Brookes and Sam Hall.

Thame started strongly dominating in the midfield and tackling well at the back.

Man of the match Sam Seddon was outstanding at left back with some solid tackles and excellent distribution.

An early fantastic strike from Hall was doubled by Brookes and despite a late Aylesbury fightback, Brookes’ well-taken second killed the game.

Thame worked hard and despite having 10 men for the second half were deserving of their win.

Nick Moore and Jimmy Reindeer were stalwarts at the back as usual.

All four adult teams kick their seasons off on Saturday. The ladies and men firsts are both playing Amersham.
