Three girls gymnasts are just one final step away from earning themselves spots in the GB squad for the European Acrobatic Championships.
The girls, Gabrielle Jackson, Cosette Jackson and Nina Ferber are all part of Oxford School of Gymnastics which is based at Lord Williams School.
They will perform three routines together in the final trial in a bid to secure the only junior trio spot in the squad.
Gabrielle said: “This is our big chance and something we have been working towards for years and getting through to the final trial was just amazing.
“We will have to wait until July to find out if we have made it, but simply being invited to trial for Team GB is such an honour.”
The trio are the Junior South of England Champions and were invited to their initial trial having won a silver medal at the British Champions.
If they are successful in their final trial they face the test of then raising the money to attend the championships and an Open International event in Italy this July.
Gabrielle said “It’s something that only those at the very top of the sport get to experience and we are so proud to have received this recognition. To go on to represent GB would be incredible. It would be all our dreams come true.”
