LAST week was the penultimate session of bowling at Jardines as Matt Trotter rolled a high game of 268 with two other 200 plus games for a three game score of 683.

His TNT team extended their lead at the top of the Bucks Premier Doubles League to 10 points.

Second spot is now occupied by The Percettes who picked up 10 points this week with both bowlers scoring well. Keith Bishop had a 235 game in his 627 series and Kevin Pollard made 622.

NQGE are just one point adrift in third place and enjoyed two winsthis week with Paul Brooks leading their scores with a three-game total of 645.

Jack Stone stepped in to help Fast and Furious roll a high game of 258 in a series of 633 with Nick Kelley supporting on 616.

But, surprisingly they only won one game and now trail NQGE by two points. Despite an excellent performance from Roger Hurst, who totalled 636, his team could only muster four points out of a possible 15.

Sam Mortlock – the only female – continued to impress this week recording a three-game total of 601.

But with her partner not in the same league, she could only manage to secure two points for her team who with just one week remaining, have finished bottom.

When Jardines closes players hope a league at Dunstable on Tuesday evenings (starting at 8.30pm) will compensate. Interested? Turn up at Dunstable on March 6 for a free evenings bowling. For more info call Steve Miller on 07720 938245.
