THE Oxford League Division Three game played at Thame was a win for Bloxham.

Both clubs won on two rinks but it was Bloxham who managed to win overall by six shots. In league scoring it was four points to Bloxham and two points to Thame.

Thame vs Abingdon

Saturday’s home game with Abingdon was a close affair with both teams bowling really well.

In the end Thame won the game by one shot, scoring 85 shots to 84.

Top rink honours went to Roger Lewis, Adie Twinn and Skip John Lester who won 25 shots to nine.

Chesham vs Thame

On Sunday, Thame travelled to Chesham for their annual fixture. Thame won two of the six rinks by good margins but it was not enough and Chesham forged ahead to win by 134 shots to 100.

Top Rink honours went to Viv Jones, Carol Boyland. Bill Sandifer and Skip John Timms winning 27 shots to 16.

The result was a win for the visitors with 100 shots to Thame’s 77.
