Thame Hockey Club have been celebrating the end of their season after one team were crowned champions.
The ladies’ second team secured the league title with a convincing 7-0 victory over Sonning Ladies Vets.
With a good home crowd there to cheer them on, the defence kept their 13th clean sheet of the season out of 22 games while the forwards slotted home the goals, working many penalty corners with precision honed over previous weeks.
Having lost only one game all season, the team top their division with 59 points and a positive goal difference of 114.
Meanwhile, the men’s and ladies’ first teams finished out of the relegation zone in their respective leagues and go on to fight for promotion next season.
The club always welcomes new players of any ability and will restart training in September.
