Aylesbury’s sixth professional darts exhibition was hailed the ‘best yet’ as the likes of Russ Bray, Wayne Mardle and Ronnie Baxter rolled into town on Saturday night.
More than 120 dedicated darts fans filled the TA Centre on the Oxford Road to have what organiser Maria Butler described as ‘the night of their lives’.
Special guest on the night was international snooker star Martin Gould, ranked 21st in the world, who was full of praise for the town.
“What a fantastic atmosphere and the lovely people of Aylesbury were very welcoming,” said the Harrow master potter.
“I’m looking forward to coming back for the next event.”
People came from as far afield as Bristol and Butler says it was well worth all the hard work.
“My motivation is all about making sure that people have the best time ever, to meet their idols and have wonderful memories to treasure forever,” she said.
Butler also hailed Aylesbury magician Sylar who provided entertainment and left Mardle ‘totally speechless for a change’.
