THAME men’s seconds continued their excellent run of form with a convincing 4-1 away win over Oxford.

The visitors started well and despite conceding were 2-1 up at half-time thanks to strikes from Mark Brooks and man of the match Will Hawthorne.

After the break Thame took the ascendancy and good work from debutante David Child on the left allowed Brooks time on the ball to complete his hat-trick and give the visitors a deserved win.

Thame currently sit in second place in the league, behind Banbury only on goal difference.

Thame Hockey Club train at Thame Leisure Centre on Wednesdays from 8.45pm.
