The position at the top of the Monday Handicap Doubles League tightens up this week with the surprise defeat of leaders Dohnuts to bottom team The Rank Outsiders.

Top performance this week went to Fallen Apart, minus Roger Hurst, who recorded their top series and game, helped by replacement bowler Richard Purser who had a 266 game and 637 series.

This obviously inspired the out of sorts Neil Craske who had his best showing of the season with a 253 game and 601 series. It did however take him a game to get going after a very poor first bowl.

Second placed A.Ties eased a little closer despite losing their match with Alpha 11-9. For the A.Ties Paul Brooks had a 259 game and 659 series whilst Ian Bishop made 636 for Alpha.

Despite losing 11-9 to Supreme Legacy, still without the injured Sam Burch, Splits happen hold on to third place and had Katherine Allen rolling a 257 game in her 621 series.

In the remaining match, Little and Large just about hung on to a draw against The Goodfellows who had Cal Caputa roll a 638 series.
