Sixty ladies from 30 golf clubs, as far afield as Sydney, Australia, visited Chiltern Forest recently for their annual Ladies Open competition.

First place was taken by Adele Berther from Magnolia Park Golf Club with 36 stableford points. In second place was Carolyn Davis from Broadway Golf Club with 34 points on countback, with Maureen Campbell from Muswell Hill Golf Club in third place, also with 34 points. Mary Greene, Haddon Hill Golf Club, won the First Nine prize with 20 points, while the Second Nine was won by Maria Kneggs from Aspley Guise and Woburn Sands who scored 18 points.

The three Nearest the Pin prizes were won by Liz McCarthy (North Ridge Golf Club, Sydney), Carol Herbert (Harleyford Golf Club) and Sarah Hocking (Harleyford Golf Club). Sally Cushing, from Strawberry Hill Golf Club, took the Longest Drive prize with a monster hit down the 12th fairway.
