Medals of honour for Bierton’s top crop of judo youngsters

A NUMBER of talented Bierton Judo Club youngsters picked up silver medals at Winslow recently.

Matthew Chew, Thomas Woodage, Charlie Turnball and Henry Joiner all got silver salvos while Angel Sweeney and Oliver Corton received a bronze each to take Bierton’s medal tally up to six earlier this month.

Emma Woodage, coach at Bierton Judo Club said she was proud of the young martial artists.

“The players competed with confidence, enthusiasm and determination and certainly deserved these medals.

“Preparation is now under way for the Northampton National Open Championship in May.”

The club’s last session before Easter is on March 25.

Parents are invited to join their children on the mat for a fun ‘try it session’.
