Halton Tennis Centre has beaten off competition from 40 other Disability Tennis Networks from across the UK to win a prestigious award.
At a ceremony on day one of the Barclays ATP World Tour Tennis Finals at the 02 Arena, Halton’s Alex Barnes and Tom Wood received the the Disability Network of the Year award from LTA president, Peter Bretherton.
Participation has increased from 47 to 188 people, an increase of 300% since January 2013, thanks to the hard work of the team at Halton Inclusive Tennis.
Players of all ages and disabilities such as being in a wheelchair, visually/deaf impaired and learning disabilities are always welcome at the club to give the sessions a try.
