THE Royal Air Force Rugby Union has this week announced that the annual inter-Services rugby match between the Royal Air Force and the Army will take place on Wednesday April 11 at Halton.
The match will form the centrepiece of a festival of rugby that features the Royal Air Force seven-a-side competition, and matches between the Royal Air Force Ladies and the Army Ladies and the Royal Air Force Veterans and the Army Veterans sides.
The Ladies and Veterans teams will play their counterparts before the Senior sides meet at 2.30pm.
he British Forces Broadcasting Service will be televising the Seniors’ match for audiences around the world
There will also be a fly-past by a Typhoon aircraft – weather permitting. The matches are famous for their intense rivalry.
