A Pegasus Gym white collar boxing coach showed off his destructive skills by taking down his latest opponent in less than a minute.

Martin Fitzgerald, 25, fought in Ipswich recently as part of his preparations for the next Storm fighting event at Aylesbury’s Waterside Theatre on October 5.

At that event, Fitzgerald will be fighting in a fourman tournament where his opponent in Ipswich, Jake Gladwish, is also on the card.

The winners of the two tournaments will then meet in November for the IKF British title shot in Rochester.

In Ipswich, Fitzgerald fought Gladwish kickboxing in the cage which was scheduled for three two-minute rounds.

The Aylesbury martial artist had trained hard alongside coach and Pegasus Gym owner Steven ‘Pocket Rocket’ Cook for the fight and looked sharp on the pads on fight night during the warm up.

Fitzgerald came out in round one and threw a few shots before the pair exchanged a few combinations.

But then in the blink of an eye Fitzgerald threw a quick right cross left hook out of the blue and ko’d Gladwish in less than one minute of round one.

After the fight, Cook said: “We would like to thank all those that travelled 100 miles to support Martin.”
