It was good weather for Dragons as sunshine blessed the third week of Aylesbury Rugby Club’s popular touch tournament.

Dragons pulled away from the rest of the pack by being the only team of eight to win all their games. Happy Slappers, who shot up the league last week into second place, could not replicate the same form and tumbled three places to fifth. The competition for the runners-up spot is tight as it is for those trying to avoid the wooden spoon.

CSP, Ali’s Army and Vets and Sons are only separated by two points while Touch With Vengence, Two Pints of Lager and MacIntyre all share the same points and are only separated by try difference. One of the tournament organisers, Tim Armstrong said: “It’s been a huge success.”
