AYLESBURY runner Anuradha Cooray reached his goal of running the London Marathon in under two hours 18 minutes on Sunday.

The Bucks Herald Sports Personality award winner was desperate to achieve the Olympic qualifying time in order to compete for Sri Lanka in August at London 2012.

And he did just that starting on the front row with the elite athletes getting plenty of TV coverage throughout.

His delight was there for all to see as he crossed the finish line with his trademark finger point celebration.
