Just a matter of weeks after fracturing her elbow boarding on dry slopes, Waddesdon teen sensation Becky Menday was back with a Big Air bang at the weekend.
The fearless future Winter Olympic prospect was once again wowing the crowds with her skills and added yet another title to the multitude she has already amassed in her remarkable young career so far.
Menday was voted the best overall snowboarder by the judges at the Big Air event held at Ski Rossendale dry slope.
It was her first competition since fracturing her elbow back in June on dry slopes.
But it has certainly not affected her confidence as the 13 year old stepped up and ‘slammed it down’ with some impressive performances.
The event was held on the large Rossendale kicker and despite the heat at the weekend, the slope was running well.
The format for the event was a three-hour jam session with one prize for the skiers and one for snowboarders.
There were no separate categories for male or female or for age, so Becky was up against some stiff competition from the guys.
She laid down her array of tricks including a ‘super styled grabbed front’ and back three’s.
Becky said she was ‘really stoked’ to be picked as the best overall snowboarder of the event and walked away with yet another title.
She said: “I’m so pleased to be back on the dry slope after my injury, and super stoked to be judged as the best snowboarder overall. I still can’t believe I beat all the guys as well.”
