Aston Rowant vs

Burnham

ASTON brushed aside league-leaders Burnham thanks to a remarkable effort from Wesley Morrick with both bat and ball.

Rowant batted first but got off to a bad start as the were reduced to 88-7 with only Karl Penhale (33) getting to grips with the bowlers.

After lunch Thad Cooper joined captain Morrick at the wicket and rebuilt the innings with an unbroken stand of 106, moving Rowant to 194-7.

Their bowlers then put in a fine stint, with Wesley Morrick grabbing five wickets. Chris Leaney 2-55, Chris Watling 2-18 and Tom Needham 1-11 all supported him to give Rowant a fine win.
