MANAGER Mark West described Thame United’s campaign as a ‘season to remember’ after they secured a top 10 finish in the Hellenic League.
It was their first season at this level and West was delighted with how his players performed throughout.
He said: “It has definitely been a good season and I am very pleased with what we have done.
“If you offered me a top 10 finish at the start I would have taken it, and as well as that we have also had a good couple of cup runs and opened a new stadium.”
Their season faltered at the end with defeats in their final three matches but West was happy with the performances.
He said: “It was a bit difficult to get a team together in the last few weeks but I think those who came in did really well.
“It gave the reserve players a chance in the first team which was a nice reward for them.”
