Aylesbury FC have signed four more players ahead of the 2013/14 season, including former fans’ favourites Gareth Price and Simeon Charles.
Skilful forward Price returns to the club he left in 2010 along with Max Farrelly, Ollie Hogg and former giant keeper Simeon Charles, who has come back from nine months with Major League Soccer side DC United.
Price played for FC in the Spartan League Championship winning team in 09/10 before moving to Premier League Arlesey Town and then Bedford Town. The signing is a coup for FC boss Craig Faulconbridge who will be keen to utilise the Aylesbury man’s electric pace.
Returning from last season is Farrelly who joined the Moles from Chesham United and was used at right back or as a holding midfielder.
Hogg almost signed for the club last season but a serious leg injury put paid to that he spent the whole year on the sidelines.
He is back now, though, and has impressed in pre-season enough to earn a place in the squad.
The fourth signing is another familiar face to FC fans with Simeon Charles rejoining after a spell in the US.
With first choice keeper Richard Roberts out injured, Charles – who stands at 6ft 8in tall – has been drafted back into the Moles squad.
The former Ipswich keeper was first choice for FC at the start of last season but left to train with DC United of Major League Soccer for the last nine months.
