The Vale’s biggest and best football league is back this Saturday with a record-breaking 57 teams and nearly 1,000 players involved every weekend.

And you won’t miss a kick every week in The Bucks Herald as we bring you a comprehensive round up of all the news, results, scorers, league tables and pictures from our weekly featured game right through to next May, thanks to our close links with the league and its organisers.

In other ADL news, the introduction of photo ID for players has been delayed due to a huge backlog of ID cards. A statement on the league’s impressive new-look website The ADL said: “All clubs have had an email from the League Secretary but quite simply only players you have signed on so far this season can play – as well as signing on the normal three players on Saturday.

“For this the player needs to provide to their opposition a form of ID and a passport photograph is required to be sent to Marcie by Monday ideally in order for that player to be registered in time for September 8.

Our good Chairman Peter Rice will be your trouble-shooter for the day (please note he is away until the weekend) and can be contacted on 07889 942537.”
