Aston Clinton have appointed former Rennes player Ese Oduko as their new first team manager and coach.

Aston have moved to replace player-manager Neil Roberts, who has decided to concentrate on playing next season.

Oduko, 31, who is based in Milton Keynes, comes with a glowing CV which includes playing for Rennes in France as a youngster and more recently Welwyn FC and Wolverton Town.

Oduko will be assisted by some of last season’s backroom staff in his new role.

The 2013/14 season gets under way on August 10 and pre-season training starts tonight (Wednesday) from 7pm at Aston Clinton Park. All last season’s players and new players are welcome to attend.

For more information call Malcolm on 07500661018.

The reserve team will also be playing in the SSMFL Res Division this coming season which gives the club the opportunity to utilise all playing members throughout the club.

Aston will be trying to regain the Division Two title and retain the Division Two Cup.

Clinton chairman Mark Foster put on record his gratitude to former boss Roberts.

“I’d like to thank Neil for his fantastic efforts, he has decided to concentrate on playing next season,” he said.
