Nine-man FC well beaten at home by Barton

AYLESBURY FC suffered a comprehensive 3-0 defeat after having two men sent off against Barton Rovers at the newly renamed Affinity Stadium on Tuesday night.

After a win and a draw from their previous two games, FC boss Steve Smith would have been hoping for better from his side as they approach a crucial run-in.

FC had done well in a goalless first half, restricting Barton despite losing defender Ben Stevens to a straight red card on 31 minutes.

But their resistance lasted all of a minute in the second half as Barton’s Dave Parkinson scored on 46 minutes.

Russell Bull and Bobby Dance added further strikes and to add insult to injury, FC’s David King was sent off after picking up a second yellow card in stoppage time.
