Aylesbury FC manager Steve Bateman has made his first signing of 2014, as he continues his efforts to bolster the Moles attack.
Striker Jerome Anderson, who played under Bateman when he was manager at Slough Town, has joined the Moles from Borehamwood.
Bateman said: “We signed Jerome on Friday and hopefully he will prove a good addition up front.
“I worked with Jerome at Slough and I know what qualities he can bring to us.
“He is a very pacy player who knows where the back of the net is.”
Bateman added that Anderson had moved from Skrill South side Borehamwood for ‘a new challenge’.
He said: “Although he is going down a couple of divisions he is looking forward to the challenge.
“He knows me very well so we should be a perfect fit.”
Fellow forward Sean Sonner is also set to return from injury, giving FC more options going forward.
Bateman added he was also looking at signing another attacking midfielder in the coming days.
Anderson will be hopeful of making his debut in the Moles’ next scheduled Calor Southern League Division One game at home to Northwood on Saturday.
FC have yet to play a league game in 2014, as their last four matches have all been postponed due to waterlogged pitches.
