Aylesbury FC and Aylesbury United are both on the road today (Saturday) in their latest pre-season matches.
On the road to Bedworth United, Aylesbury FC boss Craig Faulconbridge will be looking for his side to pick up where they left off against Kidlington who they thrashed 6-0 on Tuesday night.
It was the Moles’ first win in five pre-season matches but with their squad having been bolstered in the summer, most recently with the signing of defender Lee Grant, they will be confident of another good performance.
With just a few weeks until the big kick off on August 17, FC’s rivals Aylesbury United make the short trip to take on Tring Athletic in their latest friendly on Saturday (3pm).
The Ducks are suffering something of an injury crisis at the moment with strikers Stacey Field and Louis Austin ruled out for the start of the season and key defender John Mulholland the entire 2013/14 campaign.
It showed on Wednesday night when they were well beaten 4-1 at AFC Dunstable.
Having played on Thursday night in a historic match against Risborough Rangers, Tring Athletic may be slighly less rested and therefore Tony Joyce will be hoping his team can take advantage.
