Even though many of the Manchester United Legends are the wrong side of 45 they entertained Monday’s spectators at Thame United’s ASM Stadium with a demonstration of quality football.
The game, which understandably was played at a slow pace, was drawn 2-2.
Legends scorers were Clayton Blackmore on 10 minutes, and Andie Ritchie in the 55th minute. Thame’s Aaron Rogers scored with superb volley on 37 minutes, and supplied the cross for manager Mark West to knock home five minutes later.
Only six fouls were awarded during the entire game, five of them against Thame.
