A MANCHESTER United legends team will be coming to the ASM Stadium to take part in a friendly match against Thame United next month.

Premier League winners Clayton Blackmore and David May are the two biggest names in the squad, which will be coming down on August 29.

The game could draw the largest ever crowd at the ASM Stadium, with around 1,500 people expected to attend.

It will also offer Thame Gazette readers the chance to play alongside their United idols, with three places in the Legends team on offer.

A secret auction will take place for the spots, with the three highest bidders guaranteed at least 30 minutes of football.

Other players expected to be in the team are Russell Beardsmore, Frank Stapleton, Fraser Digby, Peter Davenport, Mike Duxbury, Arthur Albiston, Lee Martin and Andy Ritchie.
