Stacey Field grabbed a brace as Aylesbury United maintained their superb form on the road with a 3-0 win at Potters Bar Town on Tuesday night.

Some resolute defending coupled with some clinical finishing sealed a brilliant fifth away win of the season so far in all competitions for United and lifted them up to 11th in the Calor League.

The club’s official website reports that every player worked themselves into the ground for 90 minutes in a tremendous United performance against a very capable Scholars side.

Talismanic striker Field showed he was well and truly over the injury problems that ruled him out of the beginning of the season with two headed goals in the 11th and 42nd minutes to give the Ducks a very welcome lead going into half-time.

Potters Bar played some great football at times, but they find a way through United’s rock solid defence and were repelled time and time again.

A first goal for the club from Lee Grace early in the second half ended any hopes of a comeback from Bar and the Ducks took the points and plenty of plaudits from their travelling supporters.
