Ducks boss Tony Joyce had intentionally kept the signing of former Premier League striker Kevin Gallen quiet, but two goals on his full debut soon put paid to that.
Joyce, who has known the veteran forward for 20 years dating back to their QPR youth days, ushered in the ex-Leverstock man last week.
A brief substitute appearance in the 2-2 draw at AFC Dunstable last Wednesday night was the prelude to a two-goal salvo that sealed another three points for the Ducks at Hatfield Town.
Both goals were typical poachers strikes, bundling over the first and slotting the second from inside the box.
Despite a poor first half, the Ducks led 1-0 at the break and pressed home their claim for all three points with another in a much better second half display.
