Aylesbury FC face the prospect of another weekend with no game after a pitch inspection was announced ahead of Saturday’s trip to Leighton Town.

The Moles have not played since December 28 and have seen four of their last five games postponed due to the wet weather.

The club announced on Friday afternoon that there will be a pitch inspection on Saturday at 10am to rule whether Leighton’s home pitch at Bell Close is playable. The announcement came after more downpours on Friday.

Meanwhile in other fixture news, one of the club’s four postponed matches – away to boss Steve Bateman’s former club Slough Town – has been rearranged yet again.

The game had been moved to the evening of Tuesday January 21 but landlords Beaconsfield SYCOB have a Berks & Bucks tie with Wycombe Wanderers which takes precedence.

A new date is yet to be arranged.
