The winter washout continued for Aylesbury’s sports clubs and leagues at the weekend.
Football rivals Aylesbury United and FC both saw their respective games called off as did Aylesbury Rugby Club.
Meanwhile, there were only a few games in the Aylesbury and District League and Sunday Combination.
The Ducks were due to travel to high flying Rugby Town but the persistent rain meant the game had to be called off.
The same fate befell FC’s home match against AFC Hayes. The Aylesbury sides were not alone, though, in a complete washout, all Calor League Division One Central matches were called off.
United are next due to play on Tuesday night at Royston Town in the Red Insure Cup while the Moles are scheduled to entertain Rugby Town on Saturday.
Dave Larham’s Magenta and Blacks will be hoping to be in action this coming weekend, though, when they are due to travel to title rivals Bletchley.
A bonus point win for second placed Aylesbury would put them within two points of the leaders.
