THE Thame Boys Festival of Football sponsored by ASM took place at the weekend and was a resounding success.
More than 4,500 attended the magnificent tournament over the two days to ake it the ‘biggest and best event’ hosted at Meadow View Park.
There was an army of volunteers, parents, managers, coaches, referees, first aiders, staff and supporters alike who all did a ‘fantastic job’.
There were more than 600 matches over the two days and with 1,600 players taking part a massive operation was put to the test and a really slick and professional tournament was the outcome.
Mick Ramage, manager of Launton Boys Under 13s said: “I would just like to say thanks for another excellent tournament.
“We have played in your event every year for the last six years and it is easily the friendliest and best organised tournament we enter, it was even better this year as we managed to get to the final.”
