Attentions switch to the FA Cup for Aylesbury United on Saturday as Tony Joyce’s men travel to Westfield.

After an agonising last gasp 4-3 defeat to Kettering in the league last time out, the Ducks will be keen to continue their good form in cup competitions, which saw them make two finals last season.

The Ducks stand to make £3,000 if they can overcome Westfield with £4,500 at stake in the next round.

Joyce said his players would not be taking their Combined Counties Football League Premier Division opponents lightly.

He said: “We will give Westfield the respect they deserve and certainly won’t be taking them lightly. We are hopeful of getting through to the next round though and having a run in the competition.

“We are expecting Paul Edwards, Bill Morgan and Shane Wood to all be available and with Stacey (Field) and Lee (Grace) returning last weekend, we should have a fully fit squad ready for what I’m sure will be a competitive match.”
