Tony Joyce says he is relieved to have a bigger squad to choose from when the Ducks host Marlow in a local derby at Bell Close today (Saturday).
But for the visit of Marlow, the Ducks boss will be bolstered by the return of some key players.
He said: “Richard Armstrong will be back from suspension and Paul Edgeworth also returns which are both boosts for us, however Shane and Steve aren’t quite there yet.
“We have a whole week to prepare as we have no midweek game, so that could be handy for us, as it will allow us extra time for some good training sessions in readiness for that game.”
Joyce added he was hoping to add to the squad in the coming days.
He said: “We are currently looking at signing another player to add a bit of strength in depth to the squad because we are quite stretched at the moment.”
The Ducks boss said he couldn’t comment on who the club were in talks with or what position they played but he was hopeful of completing the deal in the next few days.
The sides last clashed in the 2009/10 season, when the Ducks picked up a rare point in a 2-2 December draw that was actually a case of two points dropped as the Ducks let a two-goal lead slip, as Tyrone Taylor and Keith Newby gave them a commanding lead after 69 minutes.
