AYLESBURY United were comprehensively beaten 3-0 by lowly Harefield who completed the double over them on Tuesday night.
Harefield have had little to celebrate at home of late, with five home defeats prior to this game but they were superior in most departments and deserved their win which virtually secures Premier Division football for another season.
A goalless first half saw the home side have the better of the chances, but any hopes of an improvement by Aylesbury were soon ended when Gary Gehman scored nine minutes after the break.
After that Harefield - who had only netted three times in their previous ten games - visibly grew in confidence in front of goal and added a second through substitute Jack Reader as United were caught on the break.
A third followed from Shane Ely late on to complete Aylesbury’s misery.
