More than 14,000 fans turned out for a special Aylesbury Big Day hosted by League One side MK Dons.

Residents of Aylesbury were given discounted ticket prices for the Dons’ match against Coventry at stadium:mk where the hosts threw away a 1-0 lead to lose 2-1.

Dons players and staff, like former Man United forward Alan Smith (pictured), visited the town to promote the event recently.

The club also teamed up with Aylesbury FC. People from the town also got the chance to entertain fans at half-time.

Attendance was boosted by a protest from Coventry fans who, on the whole, are attending away games instead of home games after moving in to groundshare with Northampton earlier this season.
