Thame United continued their good pre-season performances to hold higher-leagued Slough Town to a 1-1 draw. The game was goaless at half time but Thame had dominated proceedings with Rogers and Stewart causing havoc with the Slough defence and Thame were twice denied strong penalty shouts by the officials.

Slough however took the lead in the 56th minute when an innocuous cross evaded the Thame keeper and Rhodes attempt to keep the ball out was in vain.

Thame then got themselves back on level terms two minutes later when a great run from Ricketts saw Connelly finish off a flowing move.

West and Hayes in midfield for Thame had excellent games as did the back four of Willetts, Meredith, Cowan and Rhodes.

Thame now go into their last pre-season fixture on Tuesday night on the back of two excellent team displays and looking forward to the season-opener on Saturday at the ASM against Highworth Town
