Aylesbury FC manager Steve Bateman says his side must not underestimate Calor Southern League Division One Central basement boys Ashford Town should their game go ahead today (Saturday).
Bateman has spoken of his annoyance at the fact the Moles have had to go a whole month without kicking a ball.
The postponement of FC’s last two home games, against Northwood and Hayes on Tuesday night, means they have not played a competitive match since December 28, when they won 1-0 at Egham Town.
But the former Slough boss said he was hopeful the Moles could get back in action this afternoon, when they travel to Middlesex to face bottom of the table Ashford Town.
He said: “These are the games we must win if we are to push up the table.
“Although Ashford are some way adrift at the bottom, we cannot afford to underestimate them otherwise we could come unstuck.”
