Aylesbury FC and Aylesbury United have had their first competitive fixtures of the 2013/14 season confirmed after cup draws were made.

Aylesbury FC will entertain Thatcham Town in the Preliminary Round of the FA Cup on August 31 (3pm) while the Ducks face a long trip west to Cinderford Town.

The Moles will travel to Ryman Division 1 North team VCD Athletic in the The FA Carlsberg Trophy Preliminary Round.

Meanwhile, United will face Ryman League side Faversham Town in the same competition.

After their first week back in training Ducks manager Tony Joyce was pleased to announce the first set players who have signed for the club.

Of of last season’s squad, Ben Baines, Lee Bircham, Ben Butler, Paul Edgeworth, top scorer Stacey Field, Steve Hatch, Daniel Jones, Liam Smyth, Greg Williams, Jack Wood and Shane Wood have all signed up for the season.

Joey Acheampong, Louis Austin, Jack Sillitoe and Zack Reynolds are all due to return from holiday this week, while John Mulholland continues his recovery from injury.

In addition, two new faces have been added to the squad in Richard Armstrong and Dom Petrucci.

Armstrong is a midfielder formerly with Newport Pagnell Town, while Petrucci is a striker who played against the Ducks in the Premier Division Cup final for Hadley.
