Club looking for new talent as cricket season looms

With the snow now clearing, the 2013 cricket season is fast approaching and many local clubs in the area are preparing for the season ahead.

Long Marston are hoping for success this summer and want to continue to develop their junior section in a bid to strengthen the adult teams long-term.

The club is inviting players of all ages and abilities to join its enthusiastic and family friendly club.

Featuring one of the best grounds in the surrounding counties, the club runs four adult and four junior sides.

The adult teams are always looking for new players both young and old, with the Saturday first XI in the Cherwell League Division Three, Saturday second XI in the Cherwell League Division Seven and the Saturday third XI in the Cherwell League Division 10.

The Sunday XI play a mix of both league and friendly cricket. The club hosts many rep games throughout the season including ECB Trophy matches.

Long Marston’s winter nets run on Monday nights and anyone interested in getting involved is invited to get in touch via Facebook by searching for Long Marston Cricket Club.
