AROUND 35 children were put through their paces on a cricket coaching course at Lord Williams's Lower School in Thame recently.
The youngsters learned about match temperament, the art of fielding, batting against spin, the tactics of the game, mental toughness and physical fitness.

There was also indoor and outdoor 'Test' matches played in a fun environment.

The four-day course was run by Manoj Parmar, of MP Sports in Thame.
Manoj was helped out by assistant coaches Benjamin Bardon and James Chung.

Thame CC's head coach told The Thame Gazette that the week could not have gone better.

He said: "The reaction was very good. When I talked to the children, they were so pleased to listen. They learned a lot all week and the feedback was very good."

MP Sports' next coaching course will be in the summer from July 28 to August 1.
