LAST week saw a mixed team from Rover visit Thame Bowls Club for a friendly match.
The weather was most unfriendly, but the rain held off just long enough for the game to start only to resume again halfway through.

With only three ends to play, the game was stopped. Thame won the game and three out of the four rinks.

Thame's highest winning rink was Ingrid Dale, George Andrews and skip John Lester with 24 shots to 7.

The winning Rover trio was R Burden, R Plested and skip P McCartney with 13 shots to 8.

Meanwhile, 12 teams from the Home Counties took part in the finals of the annual Thame Triples. It was sponsored by Thame Cottage Bakery.
