(THURSDAY APRIL 11) A GIRLS' team from Haddenham Community Junior School were celebrating this week after winning the annual Aylesbury Vale Primary Schools' Cross-Country Championships at Wing.
The girls, aged between eight and 11, showed great determination to take the honours on a chilly day on Saturday March 24.

Around 10 other schools, including Wendover, Bedgrove, Turnfurlong, Elmhurst and St Edwards, provided Haddenham with some tough opposition.

Head teacher Sue Roberts was delighted as this was the fourth successive year that Haddenham had won the championships.

"I'm very proud of the girls," said Mrs Roberts.

"They showed great determination on a chilly windy morning. Their training has paid off and they were determined to win."
