THE Thame Youth Theatre has announced its end of year performances, which will begin on Monday, July 18.

The group is to perform five shows during that week with plays such as Pirates of the Curry Bean and a Midsummer Night’s Dream.

All the shows will be at the Phoenix Performing Arts Studio at Lord Williams’s Lower School.

Pirates of the Curry Bean by Craig Hawes, July 18 5.30pm

This is to be performed by the junior group, who will take the audience through a pirate adventure in search of hidden treasure.

Tickets for the show cost £5 for adults and £3 for children.

Justin in Blinderland, July 18 6.30pm

The plot was created by the group themselves and follows the pattern of a traditional pantomime.

The story is of a typical Sports Day at Little Bogsworth, which completely changes when somebody steals the trophy.

It is all left to Justin Binbag to recover the prized possession before it is too late.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakeshpeare, July 18 7.30pm

The storyline is taken from the classic Shakespeare romantic-comedy, set in an enchanted forest, where all sorts of mischief takes place.

The show is full of fairies, fighting lovestruck Athenians, and even a talking donkey.

A Night at the Movies, July 22, 6pm

The youth in motion dance group is presenting a dancing hit from the movies. They will perform with energy, passion and skill in this exciting dance show.

The Wicked Lady, July 22 8pm

The senior group will take to the stage in this ghost story which is devised by the group and based on the tale of the Wicked Lady Highwaywoman.
