MORE than £6,000 has been raised to help support young carers from Thame.

Around 92 students at Lord Williams’s care for a loved one in addition to managing their studies and Thame Young Carers, formed by Jane Harrison the school counsellor, offer support and advice.

Recently two former students, Alistair Box and Matthew Randall, took part in a 200-mile coast-to-coast challenge and raised £1,040 and last October. Nigel Pattison (pictured), supported by Thame Rotary Club, raised £5,800 running the equivalent of six marathons in six days.
