SPONGES were at the ready at the Travelodge Head Office in Thame as staff held a summer fete for charity.
The aim was to raise £10,000 through stalls such as the sponge throw.
It was all themed around the colour red, with 200 staff dressing in the same colour.
The fete was one of 120 fundraising events taking place at Travelodges across the country, to raise money for children’s charity KidsOut.
Chief executive Guy Parson said: “This is the first time ever; Sleepy Hollow has embarked on such a large scale fundraising day.
“We also have around 120 events planned across the UK and I am confident that we will beat our days target of £10,000.”
