A brand new president has taken the helm at the Rotary Club of Thame.
Linda Emery was welcomed as the club’s new leader at a special event on June 25 at The Spread Eagle.
She takes over from Jeanette Matelot Green.
She said: “I am delighted to become the new president of our wonderful club.
“It’s going to be a very exciting year.
“We’re hoping to try out a lot of new things and are looking for inspired and enthusiastic men and women who are all welcome to join our club.
““We have a lot of fun and really enjoy ourselves, on top of all the fundraising we do, and would love to hear from anyone interested in joining us and making a real difference to their community.”
The new president has been a Rotarian for three years and hopes that she can increase the visibility of the club during her year in office.
Throughout her term she will be supported by Peter Hook, who is the club’s president elect.
She said: “As well as fundraising at town events we will be distributing leaflets of our 2014-15 programme which will be continuously updated on our website and our brand new Facebook page.”
